Taking a Cld Shower

This might seem like a skill most often needed in remote parts of the globe, but it happened to us this morning. It takes a way-too-long fire stick to relight the pilot light in our condo's water heater, so we had no choice. Wanda gamely heated cups of water in the coffee maker but that takes too long and heats too little. I decided to try the direct approach. Note: a shower wand works much better for this than a fixed shower head. Start with your extremities, which have the least blood near the surface and are therefore cooler to begin with. Feet and hands first, then arms and legs, then your head... Cold water in your face is almost always refreshing, right?. After the first splash, turn the water flow down really low and let it run on the top of your head, which will preheat the water before it runs down your neck and body. You can condition yourself to the cold water in just 2-3 minutes this way.
